Ronald Redding has been designing wallcoverings for most of his professional life and has become one of the most revered and celebrated designers in the industry. Perhaps Ronald is best known for redefining what is historical and traditional. He masterfully takes classics and document-based designs, re-proportions their scale and recolor’s them with a more contemporary palette that brings them right info the 21 st century. A genuine innovator, Ron has always pushed the boundaries of manufacturing technologies to create new effects that provide unique dimensional depth to his wallcoverings: Raised surfaces, papers gently dusted with actual sand or glass beads, elegant grass cloth, fabric-like embosses, genuine cork textures, those are just a few of the innovations Ron has pioneered. In 1999 Ronald Redding was the recipient of the Wallcovering industry’s highest honor, the Allman Award, the fourth designer ever to be so honored in its 50 year history.
